10th International Workshop on Non Equilibrium Thermodynamics (IWNET 2025)
Syros, Greece

Welcome

to the 10th International Workshop on Nonequilibrium Thermodynamics (IWNET 2025) in Syros, Greece, June 08 - 11, 2025.

Particular emphasis will be given to areas or problems that open up new challenges and perspectives, but also to traditional topics. Everybody in the field of nonequilibrium thermodynamics is highly welcome!

Among others, IWNET 2025 will highlight contributions in the field, in topics such as:
  1. Fundamentals of nonequilibrium thermodynamics and new mathematical developments.
  2. Nonequilibrium thermodynamics applied to complex fluids (e.g., polymers), chemical systems (e.g., chemical waves), biological systems (e.g., blood, active matter), interfacial systems and solids.
  3. Kinetic theory of nonequilibrium systems.
  4. Multi-scale dynamics and thermodynamics.
  5. Fluctuations, stability and large system control in systems beyond equilibrium.
  6. Input-driven networks and deep learning from nonequilibrium thermodynamics.
  7. Quantum systems and quantum dissipation with applications to entanglements and quantum computing.
  8. Relativistic hydrodynamics.

IWNET 2025 will feature as a honored scientist Professor Miroslav Grmela Photo_M.Grmela whose pioneering contributions have revolutionized and shaped the field of Non Equilibrium Thermodynamics.

Please also note that on the days after IWNET 2025, 11th International Meeting of the Hellenic Society of Rheology (HSR 2025) will also take place in Syros (June 11-14, 2025), at exactly the same place.
HSR 2025 will feature as a honored scientist Prof. Masao Doi whose monumental contributions in the field of polymer dynamics and rheology over the years have shaped the field.
