We hope our message reaches you in good health and that everything moves on nice and smoothly.
We would like to share the following information with you concerning the 10th International Workshop
on Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics (IWNET 2025) to be held in Syros, Greece, early this summer
(June 08-11, 2025), https://mathweb.aegean.gr/iwnet2025/.
- We have arranged with the Editors of the Journal of Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics
(JNET, Publisher: de Gruyter Brill for the publication of a special issue in JNET from
works presented during the Workshop. The tentative deadline for paper submission to this
special issue will be October 31st, 2025.
- The special issue will contain up to 15 papers, none of which should exceed 8 printed pages in the Journal style.
- The articles will be published free of charge, unless authors choose the Open-Access option with article processing charge 1400€.
- Each article will be subject to regular peer review.
- Because some colleagues wrote to us that they need more time to secure funds to participate
in the Workshop and they feel that they may miss the current deadline for abstract submission
(February 28th, 2025), we decided to extend this deadline to March 31st, 2025. We hope this helps a lot!
- On the web site of the Workshop, you can find a list of confirmed participants so far.
- As you know, on the days right after IWNET 2025, the 2025 Meeting of the Hellenic Society of
Rheology (HSR-2025) will take place at the same venue honoring Prof. Masao Doi. Prof. Masao Doi
has informed us that he will be in Syros also for the IWNET-2025 event, we thus hope for some
synergy between the two events.
